Index Support and Resistance for Wednesday (9/14/2016)

Dr. & Ms. Jeckle, or Mr. & Ms. Hyde?

Quadruple Witching, the FOMC meeting 9/20-9/21/2016, and QE addicted Mr. & Ms. Fickle Markets along with the convoluted trading and hedging schemes Mr. & Ms. Fickle Markets use is giving even me a headache.  Volatility is a victim of whether we get Mr. & Ms. Fickle Markets in the role of Dr. & Ms. Jeckle, or in the role of Mr. & Ms. Hyde.  Tuesday the Dr. & Ms. Jeckle Markets were reportedly selling over the “allegedly faltering” domestic and global crude drawdown; BUT, the US EIA doesn’t report until Wednesday morning.  That’s because a crude report comes out, a crude “projection” report that usually bears NO resemblence to what the UE EIA reports.  Still Mr. & Ms. Fickle markets trading down, ahead of the US EIA report on Wednesday morning,  on unsubtantiated allegations, shows the FEAR.
Note:   per the US EIA, as of 9/9/2016, the USA has 30.5 days of Commercial crude supply in storage, unchanged from the previous week’s numbers.   IMHO, 30.5 days is not a glut, nor is the USA over-supplied.   China wants a 100 day crude supply Strategic Petroleum Reserve.   The consequences for not having enough crude supply on hand in 2007-2008 was +$100 per barrel crude rising to an unsustainable $149 per barrel of crude …. leading as one of the primary contributors to the global markets and economies meltdown.
